Patrick Scott's Story

Life After coming to this website and seeing all of your names, it brings back a lot of memories. It also makes me feel old. But also it makes me want to get back in touch with many of you. So if you knew me at some point in your life, expect an email. Also because i paid the money to use this thing and i'll be damned if i waste $40. That's one days per diem. School 74-78 acadian elementary, lafayette louisiana. 78-82 cairo american college, cairo egypt. 82-84 american school aberdeen, aberdeen scotland. (go bisons) Oh aberdeen, how i miss thee. Anyway i have seen some of you crazy people since my departure in 84, but i still can't seem to make it to the reunions. oh well maybe i'll make a better effort for the 2010 reunion. 84-87 richland highschool, lynnville tennessee. I have a lot of memories of my days at richland highschool. Some of them are not very pleasant, but of course those are mainly from a little error in judgement on my part. Which led to my early departure. But of course many of my memories of that time are good ones, filled with memories of special people during a special time in my life. Anyway i was actually hoping to get back in touch with many of you. It would be nice to make my way back up there some day. College My first go at USL was from 87-92. Pledged Lambda Chi Alpha, drank alot. Got a job in a restaurant, drank a lot. You get the picture. After getting married in 92 figured i take a break from my schooling. Back to college in 98. Now its UL. And thanks to the tax payers of the state of LA i recieved my degree finally in 01. Did not drink to much. Oh yeah, my degree is in geology. Rocks and stuff. Best thing...Expand for more
about geology is the field trips, say no more. Workplace My first job after highschool was at Charlie G's restaurant in lafayette, worked there during my first stint in college, didn't study to hard, i wonder why. The summer of 1990 i went to work at the Lake Hotel in Yellowstone National Park. Best three months of my life. Anyway back at charlie's again and college again and in 92, i married one of the cute little hostess's and left for the navy. After 4 1/2 years in the navy we came back home to lafayette and went back to college. I went back to work at charlie's until graduation in 2001, this time i did study hard. After which i went to work in the oilfield for an mwd/lwd outfit as a field engineer. In 03 and 04 i got out of the oilfield and went to work in environmental consulting as a geologist. Came back to pathfinder in the beginning of 05. Military Joined the Navy in 93, went to boot camp and corps school in San Diego. First duty station was Naval hospital Jacksonville FL. First assignement was the Labor and Delivery ward. Thats right, delivering babys. Next duty station was NavHosp Keflavik Iceland. Iceland was nice, a "dry" cold really. Worked in the emergency room and hospital admin. Had the pleasure of traveling with a small marine unit to northern Norway (100 miles north of arctic circle) for some special training (how not to freeze to death). Seperated from the navy in 97. Joined the LA national guard in 98 (state tuition exemption). Good times at Fort Polk, in the back of a 113, sweating to death. Sitting around the armory in Abbeville. Getting in a tank wreck in the middle of the night, in the middle of the desert, Fort Irwin CA.
